New File Validation Utility will be released on 15th September 2009

With respect to the changes in File structure of TDS returns, New File validation utility will be released on 15th September 2009. This will be into practical effect from 01st October 2009.

What is included?
This includes:

1. OLTAS Challan check methodology
2. New file structure validations, including new status of deductors.

The new FVU will focus on tightening of validations, mainly in case of Government deductors. Also, it captures the information of Software used for Return Preparation. This will help NSDL to assess the quality and volume of returns filed through different software.

The release of new FVU would also parallel with update of SAM and SCM modules at TIN FC levels. This will make the process of accepting returns comfortable from 01/10/2009.
